THE 17TH WORLD CONFERENCE ON TOBACCO OR HEALTH, SOUTH AFRICA

Miss Viola Nahurira a bubbly Medical Student in her fourth year will be representing the association at the 17th World Conference on Tobacco or Health this March come the 7th in Cape Town, South Africa!

She will be attending under the Federation of Uganda Medical School Association presenting an abstract at this conference.

SOCIAL MEDICINE COURSE 2018

A 2-3 fun filled informative short course held in Lacor hospital, Gulu by the social Medicine consortium.

The Social Medicine Consortium is rooted in the belief that inequity kills, and that together we can achieve health equity by constructing systems that demand justice, recognizing our global interconnections, and supporting the next generation of health professionals.

This is a highly competitive course that occurs once a year that instills an education on the social determinants of health, relating to the cultural aspects. This course is open to all interested students in the medical field.

The core values of Social medicine are:

The University Guild is proud to have its Guild President , the President of the Medical students represent us at this event this year
