WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
By ELOBA SIMEON.
GUILD PRESIDENT MBARARA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The 21st century is a dynamic and fast paced era whereby the relationship between students and their training environment takes the centre stage in the formulation of the outlook of professionals.
The ultimate dream of any zealous, fervent, and passionate student is to succeed triumphantly in accomplishing their first moral obligation this being academic excellence.
The 11th day of august 2011 was the D- day, the day I gathered resolve to focus my preloaded internal energies and charisma to the priceless task of perusing my career at a Mbarara university of science and technology, a university I had only come across ’
This new domain at the moment left a mixed feeling, a balanced cocktail of accomplishment and anxiety. The warm accomplishment of a son of a typical Ugandan humble background intertwined with a sense of in-quietude, the mental restlessness about how on earth this very son in the shortest time of five years will be the doctor of his dreams.
To my relief, the great pleasure and approval that composed our welcome, the un-quivering determination of our moulders, the well-orchestrated dynamics of new milieu systematically shaped our fragile and vulnerable egos, bracing us for a new perspective – transforming our naivety into world class highly skilled attractive and motivational professionals.
As time advanced we literally did kick away the weaknesses of childishness and took to the mantle of strength sighting no room for weakness. There was no option but to stand out because this new fertile ground was just enough. This is one true testimony given by every single person that has drank from this unrelenting well of knowledge.
By the grace of God, my heart is at rest because at this moment with all confidence and pomp I celebrate. With all those that chose MUST to be their Alma-Mata, I rejoice for our dreapppp6tms were not in vain and neither were our efforts. SUCCEED WE MUST. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.
